About our Dance Cruise:

Hollywood Bound will be presenting a Dance Competition Cruise April 2018- sailing from Sydney

Dancers are invited from Dance studios with an exclusive opportunity to take part & perform with their groups at the "Hollywood Bound Dance Championships" on Board the fabulous Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines "Explorer of the Seas" (Voted Australia's Best Cruise line)

Everyone is welcome to cruise with us, bring the whole family, bring your friends, bring the whole studio & make this a family getway to remember forever!

This is a unique & wonderful event for your studio to take part in, saiing on a large World Class Cruise Ship, travelling to tropical ports in the South Pacific.

The Cruise leaves from Sydney & you only need to unpack once, plus its the best all inclusive rate from just $1045 per person.

What could be more relaxing than a cruise. For most of the day you decide what you want to do and when you want to do it. Everything else is pretty much scheduled around the dinning times, so you wouldn’t be scrambling to find a way to fit dining into your schedule.

The Dance competiton event will only run on sea days and will be set out in age groups/ sessions so famiies still have plenty of time to enjoy the cruise

The Dance portion of the Cruise

Hollywood Bound will offer events over 4 days while at Sea and will be officially called "Hollywood Bound International Dance Cruise"

Competition for Groups and solos plus a grand final Battle of the Stars Show, all to be held in the Cruise ship Showroom

there will be ample time for all families to enjoy on board cruise activities as well as the ports our Ship will dock

We have been given permission to use the showroom on selected days and times

Dance Cruise guidelines:

We have 4 full days while at Sea to hold our event "Hollywood Bound International Dance Cruise"

- Age groups Petite 8 under, Junior 9 to 11 years, Teen 12 to 14 years, Senior 15 over

As this will be more studios performing groups, we will be still offer a full solo event for 1 of the 4 days at sea that will also include the prestigoius "Dancer of the Year" however the following will apply:

Solos

-A max of 3 solos will be alllowed to be entered per dancer "Hollywood Bound International Dance Cruise"-

-Solo Dancers must qualify to compete & perform with their solos at the 2018 January Holllywood Bound Nationals.

-Solo Dancers must be attending and perform on the cruise with a studio performing in groups.

-Regardless if you have booked a cabin, Solo events are registered on a first come basis when registrations commence November 2017

- Dancer of the Year finalists will be chosen to perform in Battle of the Stars from the top 10 solo winners in selected age groups.

- You can only register your solos once you have booked and paid for your cabin in full via Destination Dance (registrations will be from November 2017)

- Please keep in mind, that If in the event that solo spots fill when registrations open November 2017, we need to ensure that dancers are still having the opportunity to be performing in group acts on board the Cruise ship.

-Hollywood Bound does not want to risk a situtaion where: Soloist attending the Cruise just for solos are then booking cabins to come on board to do 3 solos are then missing out on a spot on the solo allocation once registrations open.

We also dont want to risk a solo only dancer not being able to register for a Hollywood Bound regional in 2017.

We will keep assessing this as we move closer to the Cruise with how many groups we have traveling on the Cruise and could possibly open up more space for solos and once all studios travelloimg have registered their groups for the Dance Cruise. however this will not be known till after November 2017.

When booking your cabin you have agreed & understand to all these terms for solos listed here, as there is no refunds if you book and dont follow the dance cruise guidelines as to who is elegible to register an act

Groups

-There is no pre qualifiying for the Dance Cruise with groups you do not have to audition nor attend a Hollywod Bound event, however we ask that all studios bring top quality acts being that other cruise guests will be watching your performances,

Cabins are booked on a first come basis and once we meet a quota of space available to group spots with performance space a cut off will apply and no more spots will open up for group performances.

-To ensure fairness to the larger studios travelling on the Cruise we have set out a number of groups that you can bring on the ship according to the number of cabins you book as a studio.

BONUS OFFERS: Teachers will recieve their cruise fare free when they book 16 cabins as a studio

First 100 dancers to book will also recieve free on board workshops with the cruise ship dancers

Book 5 cabins you can enter - up to 3 groups

Book 10 cabins you can enter - up to 5 groups

Book 15 cabins you can enter - up to 7 groups

Book 20 cabins you can enter - up to 10 groups

Book 25 cabins you can enter - up to 13 groups

Book 30 cabins you can enter - up to 15 groups

Book 35 cabins you can enter -up to 18 groups

Book 40 cabins you can enter - up to 20 groups

Book 45 cabins you can enter - up to 23 groups

Its important that if you have non dancers / families attending the cruise that their cabin booking is counted towards your allocation

to increase the number of groups you can register for the Dance competiton, the more you bring the more you can perform

Studios can register their groups/ solos from November 2017 & once they have paid cabins in full

There will be no duos/ trios at the event

Hollywood Bound reserves the right to add additional information to the guidelines for the Dance cruise all rules from the regular compeittion will apply to the competiton , Registration fees apply to each act entering the competiton and are registered via Hollywood Bound from November 2017 and once your cabin is paid in full via Destination Dance.
